  • Overview

    ​Senior Administrative Assistant provides administrative assistance for team members and handles confidential tasks for leadership team. This team member will coordinate with multiple internal departments and external vendors.



    • Inventory, order and maintain supplies for department
    • Schedule and coordinate travel for team members and officers
    • Participate in and assist in coordination of community investment and team member appreciation events
    • Coordinate and schedule conference rooms
    • Provide general administrative support for department
    • Assist leadership team with communication, coordination, presentations, and task completion
    • Establish and maintain hard copy and/or electronic filing systems for departmental data, documents and other materials
    • Assist in the preparation and distribution of professional quality documents, reports or presentations
    • Provide administrative support for the entire department as needed
    • Promote a positive, cooperative and professional attitude when dealing with other company departments, customers, dealerships and vendors



    • Administrative and clerical procedures and systems
    • Basic software applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Lotus, Access, Internet, Email)
    • Customer service strategies and techniques (e.g., handling customer complaints, checking for customer satisfaction)
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access, and Project
    • Basic knowledge of general office procedures
    • Office equipment (e.g., printers, telephones, copiers, fax machines, etc.)
    • In-depth knowledge of GM Financial operations, policies, staff, and procedures
    • Thorough understanding of corporate secretarial and general office procedures


    • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
    • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Operating basic office equipment (e.g., fax, copier, phone, etc.)
    • Ability to make routine arithmetic computations and tabulations with speed and accuracy
    • Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees
    • Ability to work independently
    • Advanced grammar, spelling and proofreading skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Handling confidential matters and information
    • Ability to make independent decisions, solve problems, and exercise discretion relating to the performance of day-to-day duties
    • Accurate typing, -key and word processing skills
    • Using basic software applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Lotus, Access, Internet, Email


    • High School Diploma ​required
    • Associate Degree ​preferred
    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant business field preferred


    • 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred

    Work Condition

    • Occasional overtime or split shifts may be required; subject to stressful situations; normal office environment; fast-paced office environment; strong focus on providing quality service to internal and external customers; must be able to deal with stressful office conditions while troubleshooting problems
