  • Overview

    The Remarketing Solutions Promotions and Communications Specialist II is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of all promotions and communications initiatives that support the department's strategic direction and reinforce the GM Financial brand identity. The Promotions and Communications Specialist II will lead efforts to research, identify, and test new techniques and target audiences to promote products and services while ensuring efficient use of resources for promotion development, design, and implementation. This role will leverage experience and skillset to help develop and train other team members, and take a leadership role within the larger group. This team member interfaces with the both internal and external partners to create consistent operational and marketing communications that support the Remarketing Solutions team.

    Responsibilities

    JOB DUTIES

    • Recommend changes to marketing strategies to increase sales or improve cost-effectiveness of marketing
    • Analyze promotion results and evaluate the effectiveness of each marketing activity
    • Work closely with internal partners (Corporate Communications, Dealer Services, Training, IT, Legal, Purchasing, Risk, Project Management, etc.) and external partners (auctions, vendors, etc.) to accomplish department goals and ensure successful marketing initiatives
    • Assist in analyzing campaign response, conversion and sales results for purposes of continual improvement of overall lead generation and sales
    • Send marketing materials, follow-up, and provide direct support for the sales representatives
    • Manage key relationships with auction partners to help drive marketing activities
    • Initiate the creation and implementation of marketing materials, job aides, display and online ads, e-mail campaigns and other marketing projects
    • Ensure that business partners are adhering to brand guidelines and standards
    • Research and strategize creative ideas to reach current and potential customers
    • Assist in directing the coordination of events, which may include organizing travel and event details, contract negotiations, correspondence of event(s), and obtaining the necessary approvals
    • Provide support to the Sales team and/or dealers as needed
    • Create templates, presentations, spreadsheets and other materials to support all marketing and communication initiatives
    • Manage internal e-mail databases and assist in the execution of e-mail campaign
    • Analyze industry trends and competitor's strategies to increase sales and improve market share
    • Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all promotional materials and events

    Knowledge

    • Working knowledge of marketing concepts, principles and marketing communication theory and practice
    • Working knowledge of communication principles and practice

    • Demonstrated creativity in producing and implementing marketing materials with excellent attention to detail

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience required

    Experience

    • 3-5 Years of experience in marketing, advertising, journalism, mass communications or related discipline required
