  • Overview

    The Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) DevOps Engineer will be part of the team responsible for developing Adobe Experience Cloud platform. In this role, you will be focused on improving operations of our AEM environment. This includes but not limited to managing AEM access level controls, Jenkins continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, Ansible playbooks, AEM release deployment, etc. We currently have a lot of these process in place, however we are looking for an individual who can come analyze, design, and implement more efficient solutions. You'll work alongside our Marketing, User Experience, Analytics teams in an agile sprint based environment.

    Responsibilities

    JOB DUTIES

    • Provide support in tuning applications and infrastructure
    • Understand current infrastructure, and release management processes
    • Modify existing solutions to improve efficiency and increase automation
    • Develop DevOps best practices for the Adobe development organization
    • Design, develop, test, and implement new configurations, architectures, and standards
    • Bring new ideas to the table and make an impact

    Qualifications

    Knowledge

    • Solid understanding of AEM development
    • Solid understanding of typical DevOps procedures (CI/CD, Jenkins Pipelines, Ansible/Chef)
    • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies
    • Understanding of at least one platform-specific programming language used for enterprise or large-scale web development (Java preferred)
    • Exposure to Application Performance Management (APM) tools with the ability to interpret data, build dashboards, and engage in performance discussions

    Skills

    • Basic Linux (RHEL/Centos preferred) skills
    • Basic knowledge of performance tuning and scalability/reliability architecture best practices for a single platform (RHEL/Centos preferred)
    • Ability to work autonomously
    • Ability to develop proof of concepts
    • Ability to think strategically and make collaborative decisions
    • Good problem solving and analytical skills

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience required

    Experience

    • 2-4 years experience administering highly available systems required

    Work Conditions

    • Normal office environment
    • Position may include a small amount of travel and some overtime
