  • Overview

    In alignment with organizational and DevOps automation goals, the engineer will be tasked with the design, maintenance, and implementation of the current and future iterations of the DevOps tooling pipeline. The engineer will work with other teams to ensure quality, security, adherence to standards and best practices for application development, deployment, testing, and configuration management.  The engineer will design, develop, update and promote standards within the API lifecycle management platform.  Finally, the engineer will be responsible for evangelizing current and future practices and capabilities of the DevOps team.



    • Experience using JavaScript and PowerShell. Other development or scripting languages are a plus (i.e., Python, Bash, GOlang, C#, PHP, Java)
    • Experience administering Linux and/or Windows servers
    • Experience with database technologies (MySQL, MongoDB, MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
    • Experience working with configuration management / infrastructure-as-code tools (Puppet, Teraform, Chef, Ansible, Salt, DSC)
    • Experience with automated build and release tools (Jenkins, TFS/Azure DevOps, Artifactory, Octopus)
    • Experience with API gateway or service mesh. (CA API Gateway/Layer 7, Apigee, Istio)
    • Experience working with web server technologies (Apache, Tomcat, IIS, etc...)
    • Experience with web service security including digital certificates, mutual-authentication, SSL
    • Experience private cloud management platform (vRealize, BMC CLM, etc…) public cloud management experience is a plus.
    • Knowledge of XML, XSL, WSDL, SOAP, JSON, HTML, and REST
    • Knowledge on securing the web APIs data-integrity/confidentiality, basic, NTLM, OAuth 2.0, etc…
    • Working knowledge and troubleshooting experience with TCP/IP, DNS, and other common network protocols.
    • Knowledge of caching and load-balancing
    • Knowledge of LDAP and Microsoft Active Directory
    • Knowledge of IT security, networking, and infrastructure practices and capabilities
    • Experience with Network and VLAN segmentation
    • Strong technical writing and documentation skills


    Job Duties

    • Architect, design and support continuous integration and delivery pipeline.
    • Act as subject matter expert or “full stack” engineer on infrastructure technologies within wider enterprise as it relates to API integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management.
    • Design, implement, customize, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, API management solutions, and configuration management
    • Conduct knowledge transfer of standards, technical approach, and tooling capabilities
    • Communicate technical approach and implementation status to management, project managers, and technical leads
    • Problem isolation and resolution, with expectation that continuous improvement and enhancements are implemented.
    • Perform system planning, installation, and upgrades across CI/CD, API gateway, and configuration management toolsets.
    • Work with external 3rd parties to integrate their web services with the gateway.
    • Evangelize API frameworks, best practices for API design, CI/CD best practices and capabilities, and configuration management adoption.
    • Integrate API Gateway configurations and releases with existing SDLC pipeline automation tooling
    • Lead and/or facilitate critical incident escalation activities where required.
    • Manage intake queue and pipeline work in an agile manner.
    • Create and update platform KPIs to be consumed by stakeholders.
    • After hours support and participation in an on-call rotation as needed.



    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience within Information Technology field required



    3-5 years of experience in DevOps Continuous Integration \ Continuous Delivery tooling technologies or Cloud Automation technologies, in automation, scripting, or development, with server infrastructure management in either Windows or Linux preferred
