  • Overview

    The IT Systems Training & Development Analyst leads key business and technology initiatives for GM Financial, by providing training, documentation and communication for projects. Trainers are responsible for the coordination and completion of the training, documentation and communication aspects of projects, including, but not limited to, defining requirements, determining audience, creating communication and training plans, conducting meetings, documenting procedures and creating training tools and documentation. Additionally, the Trainer is part of the IT Services organization and participates in other project efforts, as needed.


    • Develop material and train customers on new technology related to projects, systems enhancements, software, and/or SharePoint workflows
    • Create and implement training and communication plans for IT projects and initiatives
    • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with project owners, business functions, IT, vendors, and other project stakeholders
    • Support IT Systems Training and Development Manager with required training objectives
    • Assist other IT areas with training, documentation and communication needs


    • Knowledge of business processes for supported business groups
    • Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practices
    • Knowledgeable of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institutions
    • Knowledge of GM Financials core business functions, policies and procedures
    • Working knowledge of the consumer loan business
    • Working knowledge of all system applications
    • Working knowledge of the Corporate Business solution environment
    • Knowledge of security frameworks (eg, ISO 27000, NIST, FFIEC, etc)
    • Knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operations
    • Working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groups
    • Ability to create and work RFC and SR tickets with Oracle On Demand, Oracle Managed Cloud Services and Oracle Support
    • Good in the use of Microsoft Office software
    • Ability to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectives
    • Ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposes
    • Ability to interact with staff at all levels
    • Good writing and speaking skills
    • Good people skills
    • Must be a self-starter and able to manage the investigations function with minimal supervision
    • Experience with data visualization concepts and tools
    • Good computer skills and conversance in information technology issues
    • Proficient in creation, design and implementation of complex, effective training documentation
    • Strong ability to communicate complex technical training to end-users
    • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while meeting time sensitive deadlines
    • Ability to plan, execute and improve work processes to ensure achievement of business objectives
    • Ability to effectively lead, organize, and supervise
    • Ability to work directly with senior level management
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience preferred
    • Master’s Degree preferred
    • 2-3 years of experience in a training or documentation role required
