  • Overview

    ​The Credit Review Analyst II – Auto Finance Fraud is responsible for performing independent and unbiased monitoring and assessments of the company's credit activities with an emphasis on detecting fraud and misrepresentation. This team member will work closely with the Dealer segments by monitoring compliance and proactively addressing loans originated with fraud or misrepresentation.  



    • Investigate loan originations for fraud or misrepresentation by reviewing the loan documentation and the systems utilized to underwrite, fund, and collect the accounts.
    • Apply auto finance experience, corporate policies, procedures and departmental research to accurately identify loan origination deficiencies. Utilize results to make appropriate, formal recommendations and suggestions for reducing, eliminating or monitor
    • Identify origination weaknesses and recommend change when necessary.
    • Assist in the development and support of models, analysis, and reporting related to the soundness of credit and collection activities.
    • Monitor, analyze and summarize compliance with origination policies.
    • Create reports for management with viable recommendations for improvement of business operations, efficiencies, and internal controls.
    • Ensure project/review completion by understanding project expectations and deadlines, overcoming obstacles and communicating progress, delays and issues to management.
    • Coach, mentor, and assist fellow team members to establish a consistent level of quality, accuracy and compliance to departmental standards internal controls.
    • Assist the Credit Review Manager with the distribution of incoming work.
    • Represent Credit Review in business segment meetings as needed.



    • Detailed understanding of the auto finance industry, including funding and/or underwriting of originations

    • Competency with Microsoft Office, focusing on Access and Excel
    • Knowledge of Provenir, Auto IMS, SalesForce, CPW and AS/400

    • Working knowledge of company policies and procedures
    • Ability to plan, execute, and improve work processes to ensure achievement of business objectives
    • Ability to understand GM Financials business, apply knowledge and critical thinking skills in day-to-day problems and solutions
    • Competency using SAS including basic data functions, macros, SQL and DDE

    • Bachelor’s Degree related business field or equivalent work experience. preferred
