  • Overview

    The Commercial Lending Insurance Support Analyst is responsible for monitoring insurance coverage on an ongoing basis to ensure dealership assets used as collateral are sufficiently covered. This team member will be responsible for daily administration, verification and follow-up of all insurance related issues for active Commercial Lending accounts.

    Responsibilities

    JOB DUTIES

    • Effectively communicate with dealers, outside vendors, management and peers
    • Responsible for making outbound and taking inbound calls regarding insurance inquiries, verification and follow up
    • Perform floorplan insurance monitoring including inventory, liability, real estate and loan collateral coverage for entire commercial lending portfolio
    • Work with external insurance brokers and providers for commercial lending dealers and entities to monitor and resolve insurance claims as needed
    • Ensure reporting is prepared, reviewed and presented to management weekly to identify pre-determined red flags
    • Evaluate insurance documents for sufficient coverage and recommend exceptions to management when determined risk is reasonable
    • Document exceptions to standard guidelines according to audit requirements
    • Effectively communicate any issues to Commercial Account Manager, Portfolio Manager, Special Assets and management
    • Complete other related duties and projects, as assigned

    Qualifications

    Knowledge

    • Understanding of insurance monitoring or working with brokers
    • Awareness of commercial lending and automotive finance principles
    • Thorough computer knowledge of Microsoft Office

    Skills

    • Ability to manage multiple projects/processes simultaneously
    • Ability to make sound business decisions based on policies and procedures
    • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be well organized and detail-oriented
    • Must possess and demonstrate effective customer service skills
    • Ability to read and interpret commercial lending insurance documentation

    Additional Knowledge and Skills

    • Previous experience in commercial lending and/or insurance field preferred

    Education

    • High School Diploma or GED required

    Work Conditions

    • Normal office environment, subject to regular deadlines and some stressful situations
