  • Overview

    The Remarketing Solutions Upstream Manager is responsible for managing the technology provider (Adesa – Openlane) for site updates and enhancements that ensure a positive customer and dealer experience. This manager will also be responsible for working with the appropriate GMF personnel to monitor upstream KPI's and manage results. Additionally the manager will directly be involved in key upstream process items to ensure site is functioning properly for such topics as the EOT return process, pricing, distribution centers / transportation, channel management, and sales processing.



    • Maintain thorough understanding of GMF Remarketing strategies and processes to ensure the upstream process is working as designed to support department goals
    • Manage the GMF DealerSource vendor relationship for both US and Canada to support process changes and lead site enhancements through implementation
    • Participate in wholesale GMF pricing model discussions to support the upstream sale strategy and process
    • Consult, maintain, and recommend key KPI performance reporting for the upstream process
    • Coordinate with all lease servicing departments to ensure that the GM Financial lease-end consumer experience supports brand loyalty, while meeting dealer and lessee service satisfaction standards
    • Work on maintaining internal standards and guidelines for exception handling as it pertains to the upstream process
    • Perform and lead GMF personnel in UAT testing as needed on related internal and vendor system releases
    • Perform or work with appropriate GMF personnel on ad hoc data mining and analytical functions as needed to support information requests related to the upstream process
    • Represent Remarketing organization as needed on corporate projects



    • Perform other related duties as required, which may include projects not directly related to the positions primary job responsibilities.

    • Must have experience with-in Remarketing industry and be familiar with various lease customer and asset disposal processes
    • High level of understanding of the Automotive Lending industry, with experience in leasing and the lease-end remarketing process highly preferred
    • Understanding of the indirect lending model, with knowledge of dealership leasing operations
    • High level of knowledge of Remarketing vendor systems such as AutoIMS, Openlane’ s Dealer Direct platform, and AutoVIN



    • Ability to interact collaboratively with external and internal customers
    • Ability to complete root cause analysis and identify systematic solutions
    • Effective written and verbal presentation skills
    • Strong analytical ability
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Capable of managing multiple and varied projects, including ability to coordinate and balance numerous tasks in a time-sensitive environment
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications



    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years captive Remarketing or project management experience required
    • Automotive remarketing experience in both On-line and physical auction sales is highly preferred
    • IT related project management preferred

    • Experience managing the end-of-term lease process preferred



    • Normal office environment
    • Minimal travel is required for this position (<10%)
