    ** 1+ Year Contract Position **

    ​​The Senior Project Manager - IT Services leads key business and technology initiatives for GM Financial, including large and highly complex IT projects. Senior Project Managers are responsible for the coordination and completion of all aspects of project management on assigned projects, including, but not limited to, project definition, project plans, conducting meetings, documenting requirements, overseeing development, testing, and implementation.  This senior level position applies a detailed knowledge of the business, technology, and systems development life cycle to produce successful projects.  Additionally, the Senior Project Manager is part of the IT Services organization and directs project compliance efforts.



    • Oversee the overall planning, execution, and control of multiple large to enterprise-sized projects to successful implementation.
    • Follow GM Financial's Project Management Methodology to ensure project delivery, framework, tasks, activities, and deliverables are represented and accounted for in project plans, timelines, and the system of record.
    • Conduct project kick-off meetings, communicate project expectations, and serve as a single point of contact for projects.
    • Manage schedule, dependencies, and resource utilization using a designated PPM tool.
    • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with the project owners, business partners, IT, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
    • Support, coach, and mentor less experienced Project Managers and Associate Project Managers.



    • Knowlege of Identity Access Management, Active Directory, ITIL, and enterprise secruity concepts
    • Understanding of technology infrastructure, security concepts and platforms
    • Demonstrated success in project management
    • High level understanding of technology infrastructure, security concepts and platforms
    • Advanced knowledge of infrastructure systems
    • Support-level knowledge of a PPM Tool and SharePoint Services
    • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, Networking, Load Balancing, Firewalls and Virtual Machines


    • Ability to analyze, see the big picture of workflow business processes and how they interface within the company infrastructure
    • Strong ability to produce executive-level reports using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
    • Detail oriented
    • Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills
    • Advanced computer skills in MS Office
    • Experience with technical writing
    • Interpersonal skills necessary to work well with others in teams and collaborative work situations
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent Project Management experience. preferred


    • 5-7 Years experience in an IT Project Manager role Preferred
