  • Overview

    ​The Provisioning Services Analyst I performs with minimal guidance and implements provisioning measures that safeguard information assets from inappropriate access or destruction and performs procedures for Provisioning Services. This team member is tasked with making daily decisions in order to meet customer needs while maintaining best provisioning practices according to industry standards.  In addition, the Provisioning Services Analyst I communicates and informs the business units, where needed.  

    Responsibilities

    JOB DUTIES

    • Grants, maintains, and monitors computer access for the Enterprise based on a need-to-know need-to-do basis
    • Provides basic knowledge and assistance in the handling of routine and ad hoc report requests.
    • Coordinates and provides summary reports for management of the business units
    • Prepare data access audits for employed, contracted and temporary users.
    • Set up network and badge access for employed, contracted and temporary users from the New Hire reports.
    • Monitor movers and leavers, make approved changes as requested
    • Performs a monitoring function of application and file server access in accordance with safeguarding requirements.
    • Develop knowledge regarding mission critical and compliance sensitive applications supported or monitored by the Provisioning Services Team.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Duty added for testing purposes.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge

    • Detail oriented
    • Local and wide area networking concepts, principles and protocols
    • Advanced knowledge in Infrastructure design and management
    • Working knowledge of management processes such as personnel administration, planning and budgeting
    • Strong working knowledge of Intel platforms, iSeries and pSeries servers
    • Advanced understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices and processes
    • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model and imp subnetting
    • High level understanding of technology infrastructure, security concepts and platforms
    • Demonstrated success in project management
    • Advanced knowledge of IBM pSeries hardware, operating systems and TSM backup infrastructure
    • Understanding of routing and switching protocols as they relate to load balancing
    • Strong understanding of application layer protocols including HTTP, SSH, SSL, and DNS
    • Knowledge and stay abreast on the latest security and privacy legislation, regulations, advisories, alerts and vulnerabilities
    • Knowledge of IT security processes and controls as well as IT infrastructure and networking technical knowledge

    Education

    • High School Diploma or equivalant required
    • Associate Degree preferred

    Experience

    • 0-2 years experience in IT Services for a medium to large company preferred
