  • Overview

    ​The Risk Analyst – Portfolio Forecasting is responsible for assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of complex portfolio forecasting models. The models are used to support corporate planning, financing and account servicing operations. In addition, this position is responsible for analysis and reporting on factors that affect portfolio performance such as delinquency, loss frequency, loss severity, bankruptcies and payoffs

    Responsibilities

    JOB DUTIES

    • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of sophisticated portfolio forecasting models
    • Utilize data mining and advanced spreadsheet skills to participate in complex portfolio forecasting, modeling, analysis, and reporting related to factors that affect portfolio performance such as delinquency, loss frequency, loss severity, bankruptcies
    • Employ best practices of data analysis and validation to ensure data results are accurate
    • Promote innovative ways to visualize and digest complex data
    • Proactively monitor and report relevant changes in portfolio performance to management
    • Effectively summarize and communicate portfolio performance trends, expectations, forecast methodology and results to management
    • Provide direction, training, and guidance to less experienced analysts and lead projects or assignments as required

    Qualifications

    Knowledge

    • Knowledge of quantitative, analytical and data mining

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Business, or other quantitative field required
    • Master’s Degree in MIS, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Business, or other quantitative field preferred

    Experience

    • 0-2 Years of experience working with complex Excel files, querying and interpreting datasets, and data presentation required
      Experience in consumer loan portfolio analysis and forecasting
      The qualified candidate will also be able to demonstrate proficiency with the following tools:Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and WordSAS and/or SQL, VBA Preferred
