  • Overview

    The Remarketing Solutions Product Specialist is responsible for building upon the GM Financial dealer relationship by educating dealers on the Remarketing Solutions product offerings including end-of-term and auction promotions. This team member is also responsible for creating industry awareness through promotions and communications initiatives that support Remarketing Solutions strategic direction and reinforce the GM Financial brand identity.

     

    Additionally, the Remarketing Product Specialist will provide quality customer service by satisfying the business needs of GM Financial and AmeriCredit dealers. This team member's overall responsibility is to develop internal and external relationships that promote auction inventories and increase buyer awareness.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Build relationships with dealers and the Sales team by providing the highest quality customer service in the industry.
    • Communicate GM Financial’s remarketing value proposition, exclusive dealer benefits, and end-of-term lease processes to our dealer partners.
    • Work with Sales VPs to determine target markets for training and building brand awareness to the dealer base.
    • Provide direct support the Dealer Services sales team with on-site training as well as communicating the benefits of the Remarketing Solutions product portfolio and end-of-term processes.
    • Coordinate with the Remarketing Solutions leadership team to promote auction inventory.
    • Identify new lead opportunities to help drive sales.
    • Communicate a monthly marketing schedule and follow-up with dealer call notes in Salesforce.com for all field activity.
    • Develop and follow up on sales leads.
    • Research and strategize creative ideas to reach current and potential dealer customers.
    • As needed, assist the internal teams with developing collateral for use in various marketing programs.
    • On an ongoing basis, recommend changes to marketing strategies based on feedback from dealers and the Sales team.
    • As needed, assist the internal teams with the development of marketing collateral that differentiates GM Financial’s remarketing strategies.
    • Represent Remarketing Solutions at regional dealer events, auction elite sales and other functions as time permits.
    • Communicate field and dealer concerns with the leadership team as appropriate.

    Qualifications

     Knowledge:                                                    

    • Complete understanding of GM Financial’s policies and procedures.
    • Thorough understanding of Remarketing Solutions products, programs, initiatives and alliances.
    • Must have a thorough understanding of dealership operations and the auto remarketing processes.

    • Must have intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Saleforce.com.

    Experience:                                                                  

    • 3 to 5 years of prior auto remarketing experience preferred
    • 3 to 5 years of successful sales experience preferred
    • College degree required, additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree

     

      WORK CONDITION:

    • Travel Requirements: Up to 75% travel in North America for events, dealer meetings, etc.
    • Must have a good driving record in accordance with GM Financial’s policy.
