  • Overview

    ​The Recruiting Projects Analyst is responsible for projects, programs and processes for our centralized Recruiting Team.  This position serves as subject matter expert for many areas of recruiting process, technology and compliance and works closely with senior management, HR Business Partners and hiring managers to help drive strategy and process execution to ensure GMF is attracting and hiring top talent.   Conducts needs assessments, provides cost benefit analysis, creates scope documents and makes recommendations for assigned projects.    

    Responsibilities

    JOB DUTIES

    • Serve as project lead for small to medium scale recruiting projects and initiatives or as team member for small, medium and large scale recruiting projects
    • Deliver comprehensive project plans, status reports, and updates that the HR department and business stakeholder needs
    • Facilitate and chair project meetings and follow up with team members to focus on all project plan deliverables while monitoring project issues to ensure minimal impact to project progress
    • Engage with project stakeholders and team members to explore alternative ideas and solutions, to evaluate options and make related decisions
    • Develop and implement efficient and consistent processes and tools to support centralized recruiting team and develop process documentation and manage revisions, updates and record retention of process documentation
    • Negotiate to resolve problems and achieve consensus with all project participants and determine appropriate communication and change management strategies for programs and initiatives
    • Consult internal recruiting subject matter experts in project management process and act as project consultant for business initiatives (i.e. planning new recruiting product or system rollouts, etc.
    • Design and deliver some recruiting training
    • Keep abreast of talent acquisition trends and best practices, and share knowledge across the organization
    • Conduct some recruiting, as needed

    Qualifications

    Knowledge

    • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures related to employment and pre-employment
    • Knowledge of IT programs, systems, software, etc..
    • Detailed knowledge of company hiring practices
    • Understanding of the GM Financial pre-employment and business processes, policies and procedures
    • Knowledge of technology solutions and their application within the hiring process
    • Knowledge of governmental employment law and regulations
    • Knowledge of behavioral based interviewing practices and other selection methods

    • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders across functional and organizational lines
    • Ability to identify and analyze organizational needs
    • Strong organization and time management skills
    • Must demonstrate a team-oriented collaborative nature
    • Good knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS)
    • Ability to improve knowledge base and utilization of tools and features in ATS and other tools and solutions
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and online job posting/search engines skills
    • Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with all levels of the organization
    • Good with leading small scale talent acquisition projects
    • Leadership skills with an ability to coach, lead, motivate and influence others
    • Ability to create an atmosphere which encourages high performance

    Education

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
    • ​Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred

    Experience

    • 0-2 years managing small and medium scale recruiting projects preferred
    • 2-3 years recruiting experience preferred
    • 2-4 years professional office environment experience preferred
