  • Overview

    The Sr Application Engineer for Provisioning Services is responsible for planning, designing, and implementation of connections and workflows for the Provisioning Services Team. This team member is responsible for technical support for moderate and complex connections to all supported applications. This role will work independently at times and make daily decisions based on business needs. The Sr Application Engineer will have admin access to all applications and is required to add, remove, and report on all internal and external applications. Additionally, this position is required to evaluate tools, monitor usage of elevated access, and building tools to assist the Provisioning Services team.

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties

    • Conduct meetings to gather information for business requirements.
    • Represent Provisioning Services in business segment meetings as needed.
    • Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement improved application processes or tools.
    • Design and improve connections to applications.
    • Work with Vendors and Contractors to fix and design complex connections.
    • Grant and maintain data integrity for all internal and external applications.
    • Provide knowledge and assistance in the handling of routine and ad hoc report requests.
    • Coordinate and provide summary reports for management.
    • Identify and understand mission critical and compliance sensitive applications, for support or monitoring by the Provisioning Services team.
    • Interact with business units and ensure that a high level of customer service is maintained.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge

    • Knowledge of Provisioning and/or Security best practices and principles is required.
    • Requires familiarity with domain structures and user administration.
    • Must be familiar with and comply with GLB, ISO 27001, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other federal and state regulations.

    Skills

    • Preferred knowledge of SailPoint connectors, workflows, and lifecycle events.
    • Data mining for report building purposes.
    • Ability to weigh business needs against security concerns and articulate issues to management.
    • Strong customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Detail oriented with good analytical skills.
    • Ability to exercise prudent judgment and offer knowledgeable advice that is specific and practical for the GM Financial environment.
    • Ability to work and make decisions both independently and in a team environment.
    • Judgment in security matters with only general guidance from management.
    • SQL experience is preferred.
    • Java experience is preferred.
    • ITIL certification is preferred.
    • Powershell experience is preferred.
    • Active Directory experience preferred.
    • SSO experience preferred using tools such as Okta.
    • PAM experience preferred using tools such as CyberArk.
    • Experience with unstructured data tools such as SecurityIQ is preferred.
    • .net experience preferred.

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or other Business degree preferred
    • Equivalent experience in Provisioning Services or Information Systems may substitute

     

    Experience

    • 5-7 years experience within the discipline of Provisioning Services or Information Security for a medium to large company requried

    Work Condition

    • Normal office environment, travel will be required
