    About the Servicing Analytics Team

    As part of the Credit Risk Management department, the Servicing Analytics team supports all Servicing functions for GM Financial in our pursuit to profitably manage the loan and lease portfolios of the company. We provide these internal customers operational and management level reporting and analysis to gain insight into the daily and monthly operations and the impact that operational policies have on portfolio performance. The businesses we support on a daily basis include Customer Service, Remarketing Solutions, Collections, Bankruptcy, and Loss Recovery. We also provide support for numerous other departments within the company, including Legal, Compliance, and Tax. We track and monitor hundreds of metrics, from call center data to portfolio performance to collections proficiency to vehicle resale throughput.

    Responsibilities

    BASIC FUNCTION:

    • Operational and managerial reporting efforts on an auto finance portfolio
    • Analysis and reporting utilizing data mining and spreadsheet skills
    • Monitor departmental performance of the operational groups
    • Focus on factors that affect portfolio performance such as delinquency, loss frequency, loss severity and bankruptcies

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Reporting on operational and portfolio performance metrics
    • Conducting data and business analysis
    • Utilizing best practices of data analysis and validation to ensure data results are accurate
    • Summarizing findings to management in a clear, concise, convincing, and actionable format

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

    Reports to: AVP Servicing Analytics      Direct Reports: None 

    Qualifications

    Skills      

    • Proficiency with SQL (Base SAS preferred)
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Experience with respect to data analysis and reporting
    • Querying skills and knowledge in a data warehouse environment is a plus
    • Effective written and verbal presentation skills
    • Proactive and detail-oriented
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Ability to interact collaboratively with internal customers
    • Capable of managing multiple and varied projects, including ability to coordinate and balance numerous tasks in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, meeting deadlines

    Knowledge      

    • Demonstrated understanding and experience with the following:
      • Technical systems
      • Data warehouses
      • Reporting
      • Data mining
    • Knowledge of the metrics utilized in monitoring the servicing of a lending portfolio is a plus

    Experience      

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Master’s Degree in MIS, Finance, Economics, or Business is a plus
    • 3+ years of experience in querying large multi-table datasets and data presentation is a must
    • Some experience in consumer loan/lease portfolio servicing analysis is preferred
    • Auto finance/collections or remarketing experience is a plus
    • The qualified candidate will also be able to demonstrate proficiency with the following tools:
      • SQL
      • Microsoft Excel
      • Microsoft PowerPoint
      • Microsoft Word
    • SAS (specifically PROC SQL, Data steps, and macros) is a plus, Base SAS preferred
