  • Overview

    The VP Remarketing Solutions Channel Management will lead the departments responsible for the lease vehicle return process, vehicle inspection management, online vehicle sales channel management and optimization, consumer excess wear & tear policy, and sales channel performance and optimization. Responsibilities include sales operations refinement, proactive inventory management, strategic vehicle sales planning, GM Financial strategic initiatives integration, pricing strategy involvement and lease customer experience management. The position requires a dynamic leader who can adapt to evolving business environments, while clearly defining and articulating departmental objectives.



    • Leadership and strategy development for departments managing lease vehicle inspections, online [upstream] sales, logistics and dealer support for lease vehicle sales
    • Leadership of the GMF DealerSource vendor relationship for both U.S. and Canadian systems, identifying new strategies, leveraging opportunities and ensuring delivery of a best in class upstream sales platform
    • Management and continued development of location optimization models, including participating in vehicle pricing meetings and location capacity planning
    • Provide GM Franchise dealers with the resources necessary to effectively manage end of lease customers and complete the vehicle return and purchase process though GMF DealerSource
    • Coordinate with all lease servicing departments to ensure that the GM Financial lease-end experience supports brand loyalty, while meeting dealer and lessee service satisfaction standards
    • Leadership for the refinement of the GM Financial Excess Wear & Tear guidelines, including the management of the inspection vendor relationship(s) and performance
    • Departmental leadership and professional development, including goal setting, coaching, performance management and individual professional development
    • Management of online dealer sales support, including arbitration claim resolution and buyer experience enhancements
    • Coordination with the GM Remarketing teams [U.S. & Canada] to develop lease and company car sales strategies and inventory management optimization for vehicles listed on GMF DealerSource
    • Provide recommendations for GM dealer engagement in Rental, Company Car and Off-lease vehicles, which will include marketing and/or promotional programs



    • Understanding of the remarketing industry, including online, upstream and physical auction sales channel management for various asset types, including rentals, company car and off-lease
    • Experience leading large scale vehicle logistics operations, including Distribution Centers and optimization model management
    • A strong understanding of the U.S. automotive industry is required, with franchise dealership sales experience and CPO program knowledge preferred
    • High level of understanding of the captive automotive lending industry, with experience related to the primary aspects of dealership leasing operations and account servicing
    • Thorough knowledge of lease-end processes and off-lease vehicle sales


    • Demonstrated ability to lead collaboratively with diverse groups of external and internal stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of a cohesive strategy
    • Ability to complete root cause analysis, identify systematic solutions and build team consensus related to operational efficiencies
    • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to create and deliver presentations for internal and external groups
    • Capable of leading multiple and varied initiatives, while incorporating various perspectives into the decision making process in a time-sensitive environment
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications


    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • Master’s Degree business or related degree preferred


    • 2 Years Automotive and/or automotive finance remarketing experience in both on-line and physical auction sales
    • Remarketing industry certifications preferred
    • 3-5 Years captive or OEM remarketing leadership experience Preferred 
    • 5-7 Years experience in a senior level automotive or automotive finance leadership role Required

    Work Condition

    • Normal office environment
      Limited travel is required for this position (approximately 10-20%)
