  • Overview

    The AVP Remarketing Solutions GM/GMF Product Development will be responsible for managing and executing end-of-term, remarketing, and pre-owned programs between GM Financial Remarketing Solutions, the GM Brands (Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac), and GM Remarketing in both US and Canada. The role will be heavily involved in cross-functional objectives in order to drive and lead business collaboration across GM and GM Financial. The responsibilities include strategic planning, data sharing and reporting, IT project planning, communication and marketing planning, and incentive and business development. The role will require the ability to collaborate with associated business partners and outside vendors.

    Responsibilities

    JOB DUTIES

    • Translate broad strategies across GM and GM Financial into specific action plans, utilizing existing resources and information to achieve strategic objectives and improve business results.
    • Develop plans that assess internal and external resource requirements, technology needs, legal constraints, interdependencies, and timelines.
    • Act as an advocate for GM Financial's organizational and financial interests when collaborating with business partners
    • Understand, communicate and commit to the organization's vision, goals and strategies and translate them into product action plans with business partners.
    • Analyze End-of-Term and Remarketing processes to identify improvement opportunities and assist in management decision making.
    • Lead and facilitate system enhancement and data sharing projects, including the development of business requirements, tracking milestones, cost/benefit analysis, and management presentations.
    • Interface with business partners to create cohesive processes for GM Financial Remarketing business procedures.
    • Analyze complex issues, apply financial analysis, and use sound judgment to make strategic decisions that balance long- and short-term business goals and objectives.
    • Foster and champion an environment that promotes trust, continuous improvement, innovation, quality outcomes and self-development amongst business partners.
    • Foster open communication that welcomes information sharing, seeking input from others and valuing diverse viewpoints.
    • Partner with business operations stakeholders, vendors, legal and compliance teams to define and deliver on group objectives
    • Collaborate with analytics teams to prepare required performance metrics.
    • Perform competitive research and analysis as needed.
    • Work with testing resources and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered with high quality and are defect-free.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge

    • Advanced knowledge of effective management and leadership practices.
    • Knowledge of standard Project Management, Business Process Management and Quality Assurance methodology and practices.
    • Extensive knowledge of GM Financial’s core business functions and systems, with experience in several functional areas is a plus.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree education can be substituted with comparable work experience 

    Experience

    • 5-7 Years experience in operations or project implementation Required

    Work Condition

    • Normal office environment. Some travel required.
