  • Overview

    The Remarketing Solutions Lease Sales Operations & Dealership Support Specialists are responsible to support lease end sales functions.  This will include vehicle research, issue resolution, field (Sales team) support and external partner/vendor communication. The Lease Sales Operations & Dealership Support Specialists (ODSS) are also responsible for managing and coordinating certain operations of GM and GM Financial inventory through various online sales channels. The position is also involved in the quality assurance review of Lease End inspections and making decisions directly related to customer Excess Wear and Tear liability. This team member is responsible for completing a wide variety of tasks and has direct contact with other departments and external vendors including, but not limited to, dealerships, auto auctions, online auctions, inspection vendors, and vehicle reporting bureaus.

    Responsibilities

    JOB DUTIES:

    • This position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external partners as well as ensuring departmental competencies and service levels are achieved and maintained.
    • Monitor the remarketing email box and Salesforce request system on a daily basis, including internal and external sources to thoroughly research the issue/question
    • Resolve issues in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
    • Work closely with the RSS Team and Business Development Specialists to support departmental needs and issue resolution
    • Maintain a strong working knowledge of GMFDealerSource.com and the end-of-term lease process to assist grounding dealerships
    • Seek to improve efficiencies by initiating and sharing ideas for process and quality improvements.
    • Promote a cooperative and productive work environment for all team members consistent with the GM Financial mission statement and values
    • Manage all Online Event Sale processes including vehicle sales monitoring and after sale reporting.
    • Assist in the online sales arbitration process by reviewing documentation and providing recommendations to management based on GM/GMF arbitration policies and strategy.
    • Review and analyze Off Lease inspections for description accuracy and guideline compliance.
    • Review and communicate arrangements for transportation of vehicles to the auto auction from grounding dealerships when issues or delays arise with Up-Stream vehicles.
    • Provide detailed account level documentation in all applicable systems for accounts reviewed and researched
    • Build and develop relationships with dealers, internal and external partners and the Sales team
    • Support customer service initiatives by building relationships with vendors, dealers and GM Financial customer service agents.
    • Perform other duties, special projects and assignments as directed

    Reports to: Sales Operations Manager

    Qualifications

    Knowledge:                            

    • Working knowledge of Off Lease procedures
    • Good working knowledge of the finance/auction related industry.
    • Knowledge of state and federal guidelines

     

    Skills:                                       

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, critical thinking and analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment
    • Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new software programs and navigate efficiently between multiple systems.
    • Possess the time management and organizational skills necessary to effectively multi-task between multiple responsibilities
    • Ability to work well independently as well as demonstrate positive behaviors in a team environment

     

    Experience:                                        

    • High school degree or equivalent required; College degree preferred
    • Automotive Lease and Remarketing experience preferred
