  • Knowledge of consumer loan/lease portfolio dynamics
  • Credit risk experience with respect to data mining and analysis, modeling, and strategic planning
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated forecast models and complex analysis related to consumer finance portfolio performance
  • Data delivery and presentation experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Effective written and verbal presentation skills across a wide variety of audiences
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of analysts

About the Risk Management Portfolio Forecasting Team

The Risk Management Portfolio Forecasting team is responsible for analyzing and forecasting credit losses, delinquency, and outstanding receivables for the North America retail loan and lease portfolios on a monthly and quarterly basis.  The team supports multiple departments including Servicing, Corporate Finance, and Pricing and Product Development.  The forecast models and related analysis are also a primary framework for communicating portfolio performance trends and expectations to Executive and Senior leadership.  



The AVP Portfolio Forecasting is responsible for leading and managing the design, development, and maintenance of portfolio forecasting models.  The models are used to support corporate planning, financing and account servicing operations.  In addition, this position is involved in complex analysis and reporting on factors that affect portfolio performance such as delinquency, loss frequency, loss severity and bankruptcies.  The AVP Portfolio Forecasting is responsible for summarizing and reporting portfolio information to a variety of internal clients as well as interacting with other departments in the interest of achieving company objectives.



  • Manage the design, development, and maintenance of sophisticated portfolio forecasting models
  • Manage complex portfolio forecasting, modeling, analysis, and reporting related to factors that affect portfolio performance such as delinquency, loss frequency, loss severity, bankruptcy, and payoffs
  • Proactively monitor and report relevant changes in portfolio performance to senior management
  • Manage ad hoc research projects incorporating project design, data collection and analysis, summarization of findings, and presentation of results
  • Summarize findings, develop recommendations, and present analyses to management in a clear, concise, convincing, and actionable format
  • Lead a team of analysts, developing performance objectives and assisting in their skill and career growth
  • Participate in leadership initiatives of the Portfolio Forecasting team and the Risk Management department as a whole



Reports to: VP – Portfolio Analytics      Direct Reports: Risk Analysts (I, II, Sr.) 




  • Advanced with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; VBA preferred
  • Extensive experience with respect to data analysis and spreadsheet modeling and/or reporting
  • Mastery of coding SAS and/or SQL for data mining and manipulation, and querying skills and knowledge in a data warehouse environment
  • Demonstrated quantitative skills; detail-oriented
  • Proven training and leadership skills
  • Effective written and verbal presentation skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to interact collaboratively and proactively with internal customers
  • Capable of managing multiple projects, including ability to coordinate and balance numerous tasks in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, meeting deadlines



  • Credit risk experience with respect to data mining and analysis, modeling, and strategic planning
  • Understanding of the metrics utilized in monitoring the performance of a consumer lending portfolio
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with the following:
  • Data warehouses
  • Data mining
  • Reporting
  • Data analysis and visualization techniques


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, MIS, or other quantitative field
  • Master’s Degree (preferred) in Finance, Economics, Business, MIS, or other quantitative field
  • 5+ years of relevant analytical experience preferred
  • Experience querying large multi-table datasets and data presentation is required
  • Experience in consumer loan/lease portfolio performance analysis is preferred
  • Auto finance experience is preferred
  • Leadership experience (formal or informal)
  • Proficiency with the following tools preferred:

o   SAS (specifically PROC SQL, Data steps, and macros)

o   Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
