Overview

The Inventory Control Analyst - CLS is responsible for the autonomous review and analysis of data generated through the floor plan audit and portfolio monitoring functions within the Commercial Lending- Risk Management group.   Monitor policies and procedures related to inventory auditing, review of audit results, interfacing with on-site auditor and outsource vendor, review and evaluation of audit data, recognizing risk within the audit data, reporting on audit trends, and establishing appropriate courses of action to limit risk. Work in conjunction with cross-departmental teams involved in risk rating borrowers, portfolio monitoring, and workout accounts.   Responsible for meeting departmental risk management goals and objectives. Additionally, this position will contribute to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.      

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

  • Review and evaluate floor plan inventory audit results.
  • Ensure collection of payments for sold units as a result of floor plan audit.
  • Evaluate audit and related data to identify and communicate high risk situations.
  • Recommend appropriate audit frequency based on dealer performance and financial performance.
  • Participate in on-site audits where risk necessitates involvement.
  • Review risk dashboards to ensure negative trends are identified and escalated.
  • Interface with dealer personnel to clear audit exceptions.
  • Support all aspects of problem account handling, including SOT, bankruptcy, or liquidation.
  • Participate in the onsite due diligence and dealership monitoring processes as needed.
  • Evaluate and report on performance of audit vendor for scheduling and quality metrics purposes.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to: Inventory Control Manager          

Qualifications

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with floor plan auditing and audit process management with emphasis in captive automotive dealership financing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of dealer operations preferred.
  • Understanding of the systems and processes utilized in the reconcilement and analysis of audit data preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Professional and persuasive communication style.
  • Ability to interface across all levels of the organization and with external customers.

Experience:

  • One or more years of experience in banking, finance, or commercial lending environment or related industry experience.
  • Experience in floor plan audits, audit reconcilement, or automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Bachelors degree or relevant industry experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • High energy and fast paced office subject to stressful conditions.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Work schedule may include some nights, weekends, or holidays.
