​The GM Financial Account Manager is responsible for service and support of all GM franchise dealers and associated GMF products.  This team member will provide quality customer service by satisfying the business needs of the dealers, manufacturer partners and GM Financial.  This team member's overall responsibility will be to develop dealer relationships that generate contracts according to GM Financials established credit risk and profitability models.



  • Sales Effectiveness in demonstrating the GMF value proposition to dealers
  • Achieve volume objectives for market penetration while maintaining a balanced portfolio
  • Achieve volume objective for GM Credit Card
  • Proper training of dealership personnel on all retail products and lease products
  • Joint contacts required with GM Counterparts
  • Develop annual business plan for each dealer after meeting with the dealer/owner for current year
  • A positive approach must be taken to the collection of funds from dealers exposing GMF to risk, i.e. portfolio issues, fraud, buy-back, dealer agreement violations, dealer personnel, etc.
  • Effective communication with all dealership, branch and management personnel
  • Proper time and territory management
  • Proper pre-planning daily prior to making dealership contacts fulfilling the dealer needs



  • 3-5 Years Experience need in the automotive industry, lender experience or sales experience in related field

Work Condition

  • Subject to stressful situations;some travel required;Work a flexible schedule including extended business hours, weekends and holidays;Flexible schedule with possibility of working long hours;Subject to daily service level requirements;Must be able to deal with stressful office conditions while troubleshooting problems
