The Remarketing Upstream Analyst is responsible for providing daily monitoring of and support for the upstream [GMF DealerSource] process. This analyst will partner with the technology provider and internal GMF personnel to ensure key upstream processes and functionality, including but not limited to the EOT return process, pricing, distribution centers, transportation, channel management, and sales processing, are operational. This analyst will also be responsible for contributing to the site update and enhancement process which ensures a positive customer and dealer experience. Additional support will be provided to enable increased dealer engagement through other departments within Remarketing.




  • Daily monitoring of GMF DealerSource and vendor systems to track online inventory status and identify production issues or potential items for enhancement
  • Support Remarketing Solutions initiatives by building relationships with vendors and internal GMF personnel
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop, implement and support business processes, including assessments of buyer activity to support additional sales
  • Review/edit internal and dealer-facing training documents/presentations related to the upstream process
  • Maintain thorough understanding of GMF Remarketing strategies and processes and adhere to internal standards and guidelines for exception handling to ensure the upstream process is working as designed to support department goals
  • Coordinate with all lease servicing departments to ensure that the GM Financial lease-end consumer experience supports brand loyalty while meeting dealer and lessee service satisfaction standards
  • Perform or work with appropriate GMF personnel on ad hoc data mining and functions as needed to support information requests related to the upstream process
  • Perform UAT testing to support site enhancements
  • Complete special projects as requested by the Leadership Team
  • Communicate effectively with peers and notify the Leadership Team of any situations that may affect departmental objectives and performance
  • Represent Remarketing Solutions as needed on corporate or other remarketing related projects



Reports to: Remarketing Solutions Upstream Manager

Subordinates: None



  • Experience within the Remarketing industry and familiarity with various lease customer and asset disposal processes preferred
  • Mid-level knowledge of consumer auto lending / leasing portfolio with experience in the lease-end remarketing process is highly preferred
  • Understanding of the captive indirect lending model, with knowledge of dealership leasing operations
  • High level of knowledge of GM Financial and vendor Remarketing systems such as AutoIMS, AutoVIN,, and GMF DealerSource highly preferred



  • Ability to interact collaboratively with external and internal customers at various organizational levels
  • Ability to maintain discretion with sensitive or non-public information
  • Ability to complete root cause analysis and identify systematic solutions
  • Effective written and verbal presentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Capable of managing multiple and varied projects, including ability to coordinate and balance numerous tasks in a time-sensitive environment



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2+ years captive Remarketing preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience in vendor management
  • Prior experience in analytical role preferred
  • Automotive remarketing experience in both on-line and physical auction sales is highly preferred
  • IT related project management experience
  • Experience managing the end-of-term lease process is beneficial

  • Minimal travel is required for this position (<10%)
