Overview

The Operations Compliance Analyst – Servicing Administration is responsible for completing audits and reviews of Servicing related functions for adherence to GM Financial policy, business processes and procedures. This team member will participate in compliance initiatives, training efforts and continuous process reviews to identify areas of compliance vulnerability and risk within all areas of Servicing (Customer Service, Collections, Asset Remarketing, Bankruptcy, Loss Mitigation, Loss Recovery, etc.) This team member will collaborate with external departments and assist in the development of action plans to ensure compliance standards are met.

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

  • Execute audits and business process testing
  • Ensure appropriate and timely completion of compliance documentation and reporting
  • Identifying control weaknesses and other areas of risk
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining department functions and/or process improvements.
  • Establish a consistent level of quality and accuracy.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance procedures
  • Provide training and communication as needed to team members throughout the organization and occasionally perform in-charge roles on less complex department assignments 

OTHER IMPORTANT DUTIES

  • Perform other related duties as required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to: VP – Servicing Administration

Direct Reports: None

Qualifications

Knowledge    

  • Must exhibit in-depth knowledge of GM Financial's core business functions, departmental policies, and procedures.
  • Proficient with PC software applications such as MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word

Skills    

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to apply analysis, independent judgment and logic when solving problems and making decisions.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present department presentations.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent prioritization, time management, organization and follow-skills.

Experience    

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an analytical role, reporting, or audit; training or management experience will also be considered
  • Experience in consumer auto lending a plus.
