  • Overview

    The Vice President, Remarketing Solutions Field and Dealer Support is responsible for meeting dealer engagement objectives for GM Financial retail, lease, GM Company, and rental return vehicles sold online and at physical auctions.  Key areas of focus for this role are dealer and sales team education including end-of-term processes, GMF DealerSource and auction inventory as well as providing direction for the Product Specialist team.  The VP develops and executes engagement, education, customer service and support strategies and is a key link to Remarketing Operations, Dealer Services and Senior Management.



    • Design, implement and manage initiatives and strategies in collaboration with Remarketing Solutions senior management. Delegate responsibilities to ensure that objectives are properly discharged at all levels
    • Establish objectives for the Field Dealer Support team and review performance against objectives in a consistent and timely basis by monitoring key performance indicators to measure effectiveness and efficiency                                            
    • Ensure team is consistently and effectively educating the field and dealers on GM Financial’s Remarketing value proposition, exclusive dealer benefits, and end-of-term lease processes
    • Oversee the Product Specialist team and identify opportunities for future growth and ways to improve the customer experience for dealers and DARs
    • Establish and maintain relationships with Dealer Services to enhance communication and cooperation to achieve mutual goals and objectives
    • Build and develop superior working relationships with internal Remarketing teams such as End-of-Term Support, Promotions & Communications and Remarketing Signature Service (RSS) Internal / External Operations
    • Stay current on end-of-term process changes, GMF DealerSource enhancements, program/incentive updates (e.g. Dealer Dividends, FPOC, Maven, etc.) and auction promotions so information can be communicated to the team
    • Continually exhibit established GM Financial leadership competencies and quickly adapt and lead the Field and Dealer Support team through organizational change as required
    • Enable an environment that supports and drives coaching, development and mentoring of employees to strengthen skill sets, fosters high performance, and supports employee recognition and further career growth


    Reports to: SVP, Remarketing Solutions Business Affairs

    Subordinates: 1-2 direct reports



    • Extensive and current knowledge of automobile finance and remarketing industries
    • Working knowledge of GM Financial's business to evaluate opportunities and make strategic decisions
    • Working knowledge of sales theory and practice

    • Previous experience in the auto finance or remarketing industry required
    • 5+ years’ experience in a leadership position
    • 5+ years’ experience in a sales position with executive level presentation skills
    • Experience in business plan development and execution including creating and managing a budget and staffing model
    • College degree preferred



    • High energy and fast paced
    • Up to 50% travel may be required
    • Work schedule may include some nights, weekends and holidays
