PMO System Administrator and Business Requirements Analyst

GM Financial International Operations is hiring a PMO System Administrator and Business Requirements Analyst to support a new suite of tools that help manage and complete projects. Initial focus (and most relevant experience required) will be on the Project and Portfolio Management tool. The role will also be required to support business requirements gathering and UAT within PMO projects.


PMO System:

  • Assist end-users on functional issues and questions
  • Coordinate with resources to perform investigative tasks and provide resolutions
  • Initial point-of-contact for GMF IO end-users through phone, email, etc.
  • Respond to submitters with issue resolutions (after confirmation where possible)
  • Coordinate with end users for ticket routing (GMF IO, GMF NA or Workfront consultants)
  • Update tickets with proposed solutions and confirm resolution
  • Manage Workfront user preferences and maintain user information
  • Liaise with Provisioning Team to administer end user rights, access privileges, and user preferences
  • Implement minor application-level configuration changes
  • Update functional configuration documents
  • Assist in testing overall application functionality post rollout of releases
  • Contact relevant technical resources in case of any issues with system health
  • Produce end-use documentation and updates as required


Business Requirements:

  • Work with project managers to support business requirements gathering
  • Validate business requirements from key stakeholders through brainstorming, workshop, focus groups, etc.
  • Analyze viability of requirements with business objectives and project business case, and recommend workarounds when necessary
  • Document requirements by creating use cases, functional and requirement specification documents and obtain stakeholder sign-off
  • Collaborating with IT Business Analyst to translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Support in the development and execution of user acceptance test (UAT), including test case preparation


  • BS and 3+ years or equivalent experience
  • Experienced in requirements gathering and system configuration
  • Workfront (or similar) experience desired
  • Project management experience a plus

Skills and Knowledge

  • Operational experience with project management tools
  • Software development/coding skills a plus
  • Understands company goals and practices and applies them when solving problems
  • Uses judgment, creativity and sound knowledge to obtain and recommend solutions
  • Stakeholder management skills: Interfaces with key stakeholders to obtain & convey information
