The AVP Remarketing Solutions Internal Operations is responsible for leading a team of 40+ team members and managing all internal remarketing operations.  This officer is responsible for the development of both processes and people to ensure business results are achieved on a consistent basis.  This officer has contact with other company departments, as well as external vendors.



  • Provide leadership through influence, inspiration, collaboration and teamwork.
  • Develop, implement and monitor remarketing processes; revise existing processes to enhance auto recoveries at auctions and ensure the integrity of GM Financial's programs.
  • Protect interest of company by ensuring actions are in compliance regarding organizational goals, objectives, policies and procedures, and state and federal laws to ensure performance standards are achieved and maintained.
  • Participate in departmental projects including development, scope and the documentation of current and future-state processes, while addressing risks and assumptions, and assisting with requirements, testing, training and implementation.
  • Make adjustments to policies and procedures as necessary to minimize risk of loss to the company.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships and effective communication with internal and external partners to enhance recoveries and/or improve efficiencies.
  • Monitor external vendor service levels provided for compliance with GM Financials standards and effectively communicate issues to improve service.
  • Coordinate with senior management to review department work performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as a GM Financial and Remarketing Solutions ambassador at corporate and/or industry functions.
  • Ensure accountability to meet department QA/compliance monitoring objectives.
  • Take an active role in the career growth and development of others within assigned department.
  • Set clear expectations and facilitate understanding of link between individual contributions and company performance.
  • Collaborate with peers and share best practices across the company.
  • Participate in corporate initiatives and facilitate understanding of the broader business perspective.
  • Promote a cooperative and productive work environment for team members consistent with GM Financial mission and values.  



Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by senior management.




Reports to: VP Remarketing Solutions

Direct Reports:  Remarketing Solutions Team Leaders



  • Advanced knowledge of state and federal laws/guidelines, with an emphasis on laws relating to repossession and remarketing of vehicles.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of GM Financial's remarketing process.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Automobile and Auction Industry preferred.



  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to professionally represent GM Financial and maintain working relationships with vendors/auction personnel.
  • Demonstrated history of working in an unsupervised environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of team members and management.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and use sound judgment in relation to the handling of accounts and management of team members.
  • Ability to create an atmosphere where team members feel free to express concerns and suggestions, while identifying opportunities to improve and align strategic initiatives.



  • Previous management experience required. Remarketing Solutions, automotive finance and/or auction-related experience preferred.
  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
