Reporting to the Senior Manager of Credit Strategy Analytics, the primarily responsible will be to develop the analytical tools to monitor the credit portfolio throughout the life of the contract. This includes providing support for the lending strategy (risk appetite), assisting with credit inputs for pricing purposes, supporting the Auto Decision Logic (ADL) to maximize efficiencies and performance, and designing the tools to achieve optimal collection and salvage practices. Additional ad hoc analyses will be requested as needed, with the focus on expanding our Risk Adjusted Spread (RAS), improving efficiencies, and monitoring performance.


  • Responsible for creating and running various reports to monitor portfolio credit performance, including ownership of monthly reporting of key risk metrics
  • Assist with the Auto Decision Logic (ADL) in order to maximize performance, which includes identifying potential adjustments to the logic to improve ADL% while also ensuring adhering to the Credit Policy
  • Manage the loss inputs provided to the Pricing team which are utilized to evaluate the Risk Adjusted Spread (RAS) when pricing each product and introducing new products
  • Assist with risk management strategies
  • Interact with Finance and Pricing leaders to ensure consistency and thoroughness in pricing processes, setting return targets and new products.  
  • Interact with risk and operations leaders to ensure line of sight on priorities and facilitate consistency and thoroughness in the approval process
  • Develop, design and implement quantification and measurement for risk strategies
  • Promote the risk culture throughout IO


  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Math, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in credit and risk related activities in the banking /financial services, auto finance experience highly desirable. Understanding of technical aspects around credit scoring, analytics and strategy development.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Statistical and quantitative method knowledge
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills
  • Experience and proficiency using SAS or equivalent data management statistical tool (intermediate or advanced), intermediate MS-Excel skills. Functional use of MS suite products.
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills; ability to communicate to individuals and groups effortlessly, including consultative, influencing, conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Effective written and verbal presentation skills with an ability to communicate well with leadership
  • Ability to interact collaboratively with internal and external partners
  • Knowledge of business processes and key drivers to transform requirements into system deliverables
  • Capable of managing multiple and varied projects, including ability to coordinate and balance numerous tasks in a time-sensitive environment
  • Methodologies, drivers and strategies about financial risks management.
  • Self-driven / self-motivated attitude on the job. High sense of responsibility and autonomy including achieving objectives without direct supervision
