The VP, Pricing Analytics and Product Development, is responsible for complex data management, analysis, and reporting on both loan/lease subvention and dealer incentive programs.  This position will manage an Assistant Vice President (AVP) and team of managers and analysts, and work closely with other groups within the Pricing Analytics & Product Development department to execute new programs and manage existing programs.  Data, reports, and deliverables produced by the Pricing Analytics and Product Development team have a significant financial impact on company operating results and must be accurately executed and distributed to other areas within GM and GM Financial (e.g. Accounting, Risk, and Finance).



  • Lead complex data, reporting, and program payment responsibilities for U.S. dealer incentive programs (e.g. Dealer Dividends and ACFastlane)
  • Lead subvention invoice processes and deliverables for U.S. lease and loan originations
  • Oversee development for new programs and program changes
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and validation processes are in place to ensure accuracy of data, SAS coding and final deliverables
  • Establish and execute validation processes to ensure accuracy of data, SAS coding and final deliverables
  • Ensure all processes are clearly documented and updated in a timely manner
  • Establish strong change control processes to document all process updates and approvals
  • Identify potential failure points in existing processes and recommend enhancements
  • Recommend process enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Recommend reporting and summary data to improve management visibility of program performance
  • Partner with other departments in the interest of achieving company objectives
  • Oversee system testing to ensure accuracy of data and reports
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis as required
  • Continuously validate and adapt process and procedures to changing internal and external conditions.
  • Use creative techniques to create effective manual processes where no historical process exists.
  • Manage team - AVP, managers and analysts.
  • Develop and enhance tables, reporting and databases
  • Develop industry and vendor relationships to identify different sources of information including industry practices and trends.
  • Collect data and prepare recommendations / proposal for process improvements
  • Maintain awareness of trends in the economy and automotive industry.
  • Lead in the development of papers relating to special projects
  • Create unique problem solving approaches and develop concise explanations of complex topics.
  • Prepare and deliver effective presentations to senior management regarding complex topics.



Reports to: SVP Pricing Analytics and Product Development 

Direct Reports: 1 AVP



  • Proficient with PC software applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point.
  • Proficient with data mining tools such as SAS and Access.
  • Advanced knowledge of finance, statistics, accounting and/or consumer credit.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of data/information sources.
  • Advanced experience using SAS (primarily proc SQL & data steps), SQL (Oracle), and MS Excel applications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the consumer finance loan and lease origination process (credit, funding, origination systems); auto-finance preferred
  • Proficient understanding of both star schema and relational database models
  • Intermediate understanding of project/program management techniques



  • Demonstrated ability to execute complex data and reporting requirements for consumer finance-based programs
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute validation processes for complex programs (vast number of data sources, complex logic/filtering applied, changes required with limited time to test, workarounds required for missing/inaccurate data, workarounds required for special exceptions)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and train team members, and build strong relationships across multiple departments
  • Effective written and verbal presentation skills; ability to communicate complex issues to Senior Management
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Display advanced analytical abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks/deadlines.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Experience in delivering production and adhoc reports to a wide audience using a standard reporting package.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a invoicing / payment programs
  • 5+ years of experience managing direct reports (team of analysts/managers)
  • 8+ years’ experience in the auto industry
  • 10+ years’ experience managing complex data warehouse reporting and data delivery
  • BS degree in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance or mathematics required
  • Master’s degree preferred.
