The Technical Accounting Analyst provides support on a variety of technical accounting activities, including preparation of securitization memos, ad hoc accounting research, and functioning as the liaison with Policy Administration in order to manage the General Ledger group’s policy responsibilities.



  • Prepare accounting memos documenting analysis of securitization facilities and unsecured debt offerings issued throughout each quarter and ensure proper approvals are obtained/documented.
  • Assist with ad hoc technical accounting research and documentation on a variety of accounting issues encountered by the Company.
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly recurring accounting memos and ensure proper approvals are obtained/documented.
  • Assist with providing the external and internal auditors documentation requested as a part of their Sox testing.
  • Assist with coordination of the General Ledger groups Policy process, including ensuring appropriate GL group member review and reasonable completion timelines.
  • Participate on projects at both the GMF and GM level addressing implementation of significant new accounting pronouncements or other significant events.
  • Research new FASB and SEC pronouncements and regulations/rules to update designated accounting leadership at least quarterly.
  • Serve as the administrator for the reconciliation software program by assigning duties and roles in the system, maintaining reporting, and monitoring compliance with deadlines.
  • Review general ledger reconciliations for policy and Sox compliance, as well as looking for process improvement ideas.

  • Advanced understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”).
  • Advanced knowledge of standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Experience researching GAAP issues.
  • Proficient with Word and Excel.



  • Ability to understand complex accounting concepts and apply those concepts to technical issues encountered.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.


  • 2-3 years’ experience in public accounting or internal audit, preferred and/or 3-5 years of financial analysis, preferably with a financial services background.
  • Bachelor degree in business with an Accounting major or a Bachelor degree in Finance with a strong accounting emphasis.


Normal office environment but may require some overtime during quarter/year end close.  Subject to stress imposed by close deadlines.
